Thanks Bruce. Any idea whether Hendry is going to have the freedom to play the free agent game while the team is in ownership limbo?

You might see more of their action coming via trades. Just a guess at this early date. I don't see them paying $30 million a year for A-Rod. The protracted sale of the team probably will factor into things, but McDonough has given me every indication the team will be able to upgrade. Remember, people thought the Zambrano deal was dead, and it got done.

I'm not going to get into bashing somebody on my own paper.

Good call. But, you could knock some sense into him. I have just the baseball bat I can loan you. :D

Does it hit? Because if it does you should have let the Cubs have it first!

Lets hope one of those trades involves Trachsel. Any word yet on why the Cubs would pick up Trachsel's option, when he was hardly ever used and had little value to the team during his short stay?

LOL! I highly, highly doubt that.

It's true according to Ken Rosenthal (Premium).

I just read that in Transactions. I'm shocked if this is true. It simply must be a typo.

Gee what an idiot.

But I will say this- given his talent, Aramis could be way better than he is, and that's mildly frustrating. But then again, whole offense is frustrating.

His teammates like him.

And one former teammate liked him a little bit too much.

Ehh, I'm still feeling nauseous over that visual....At least Rammy will have a prison story to share if he has kids.

If I ever wrote a column as stupid as this one I'd probably shoot myself.
