WOOOO!!!!

1 more to go and life can go back to normal. The longer they draw out the eventual losing and missing the WS again, the more it hurts. I'm happy to see them being so efficient this year.

i only hope that this collapse at least suppresses the bartman infatuation.

I just don't get how an entire team except for a rookie catcher and one pinch hitter can look so ridiculously clueless at the plate. Its like they all forgot that pitchers can throw pitches that move. There have been more swings at balls in the dirt this series than I can count. I know hitting major league pitching is hard, but how does this happen? How do you look so utterly foolish against mediocre pitching? I hate baseball.

Who's ready to plan the offseason? I bet Augie Ojeda will be available. I hear he's clutch.

He'll go to St. Louis and be an all-star.

i'm with you. however, if marquis struggles even the slightest bit then you go to lily out of the pen on 3 days rest. now is the question of pride and ego and i could only hope they don't come into play.

I don't know what will be more interesting...the Cubs getting swept or the Wrigley crowd's behavior on Saturday. If the Cubs get behind early it could get ugly early with the fans.

I would like to slap those "fans" in the mouth.

The fact that the fans of the the Marlins, the D-bags and the Astros have seen their team either in a WS or win a WS galls me to no end. I'd gladly assist on laying the smack down on them.

Off course it is going to be 84 degrees on Saturday. Could be a homerthon. Don't like that scenario with Hill on the mound.

During this game, I decided to make a stat about choking. Choke Factor.

Formula: Expectations/Actual Outcome

Ted Lilly: 3 ER (Quality start [expletive]) / 6 ER

His choke factor is .500.

The lower, the better.

You have to go with Z in game 4 if there is one. You can't worry about a game 5 until you get there, and he only threw 85 pitches last night. That said, let's worry about game 3 first.

They won't boo in the playoffs....It will just be really quiet. I think the fans will help this team.

It does help that Livan blows.

the situation at wrigley couldn't get uglier than soriano, lee and ramirez's at bats. being a cub fan sucks right now, i shouldn't ever get worked up about a cubs team i suppose.

The good news: Geovany Soto.

The other good news: Kerry Wood.

The other other good news: at least the Cubs aren't bothering to get our hopes up too high before they send them crashing down.

And you might add the Rockies to that this season.

And if you count the Astros, you have to count the 2002 Angels.
