I'm sitting here at work doing my best not to think about tonite. I dont want to get all worked up and not sleep after the game. Its only game 1 of the NLDS for crying out loud. I've been really good about this the last 3 days. But now all of the sudden it is hitting me. Why is this such a big flipp'n deal? Its still 8.5 hrs away.

 

8.5 hrs - let the countdown begin.

It won't hit me that the Cubs are really in the playoffs again until the game starts up.

seconded.. i keep saying to my girlfriend "cubs are in the playoffs" like i still don't believe it.. when they had the special on sc this morning it kinda hit me.. they said, this will be the cubs first series since the marlins in 03.. that seems so long ago...

Did that knock them out of the playoffs?

Now I'm becoming completely useless. I'm proud of myself, I held out until about 2:30p, got some work done. But now it's over.
