I am sure I am not alone. I had a dream last night that I was too nervous to watch the game. My intention was to turn on the TV after midnight to find out what happened.

Unfortunately I heard the TV in my brother's room that the Cubs were trailing 2-0 in the top of the seventh. This brother lives out of the country. And then when I left my room after midnight another brother told me that the Cubs lost 7-2. This brother has become a man of the cloth and does not own a TV. He said that Tom Burgmeier gave up a bunch of runs. When I said Burgmeier isn't on the Cubs we figured out it was Scott Eyre.

I haven't lived with my brothers for nearly twenty years. Maybe they represent the ghosts of Cubs teams past.

lol I could not sleep last night either. When I did for those 10-15 minutes at a time it was about the Cubs. I was dreaming it was the world series and I was about to miss my flight to chicago for game 3.

I had a dream that black and white, Jew and Gentile, Protestant and Catholic Cubs fans around the world got together to sing that ol' Negro spiritual. Free at last! Free at last! Thank God almighty, we're free at last......from the goat!

I had a dream last night about watching the game. It was 2-1 Cubs in the 6th when, for some reason, I decided to start watching Forest Gump on USA Network. So I am watching for awhile when I realize that I forgot about the Cubs game! So I flip back over, and to my shock it is 33-27 Diamondbacks in the 8th, but the Cubs had the bases loaded and 0 outs. Gosh I hope my dream doesn't come true.

What if the Cubs actually win in that dream? Bullpen would be screwed, but a win's a win.

I dreamt on Monday night that Lilly went ape on an ump in the last game of the reg. season, put him in a headlock, and got himself suspended for the entire playoffs. It took me a half hour after I woke up to make sure I hadn't actually seen that.

Holy Crap, I had a dream last night that the Cubs were up by 4 four early

for no reason Rich Hill was coming on deck (not the starting pitcher) Wearing a Greg Maddux jersey, so the other team countered by sending out Roy Oswalt with some sort of super ball ?????

commercial break, everything back to normal.

Than I have to get on the train so I don't know what's going on.

Get to the next stop some guy shows my that it's 8-4 the other team. Than oh no it's 30-4, i assume his phone has gone haywire, call my mom and it's real.

Oh yeah, we were playing the Brewers (it was definitely they playoffs too)....... and they had Neifi Perez.

I'm on no drugs and haven't been drinking

I think perhaps the funniest part I left out, me frantically checking the box score on my phone to make sure Neifi had absolutely no part in the 30 runs.

I can't dream. The Cubs cause my insomnia.

That's why I was browsing NSBB at 4 AM last night... Along with CalRaisin.

What time did I have to wake up? 6.

Man, its amazing what you guys remember from your dreams. I don't really remember anything specific from mine, but I do know that nearly every night for the last few weeks the cubs have been in my dreams somehow...including lastnight.

I dream that there is actually a damned decent Cub team that won't swing on crappy pitches, and a damned decent Cub team that knows how to pitch like a major leaguer.

Can someone please pinch me or smash a vase over my head so I can wake up to reality where the Cubs are up 2-0???

Thanks.

I tried that this morning and it didn't work. Cubs are still choking and my head hurts.

I'll admit, I never thought they'd be down 2-0

They aren't. We just need to find some way out of this nightmare!
