Is the consensus here that the Rockies would be a more favorable opponent to "a team" that advances from the Cubs/D'backs series?

 

I like our chances against the Rockies, but honestly I just like the team better...I'm a fan of Helton's and as long as it doesn't hurt the Cubs, I'd like to see him do well.

I don't think it's a slam dunk, but I'd rather face Francis than Hamels and Rollins-Utley-Howard is scarier than the Rockies offense.

 

Also, we'd have home field.

 

Pretty much my thought, but I'm willing to throw in the "spent" theory towards the Phils fighting all the way to get to the NL East title, not to mention their manager is prone to, er, Baker-onian lapses, so to speak.

 

Plus, a team with good defense like the Rockies scares me with a team as hit-streaky as the Cubs.

There's something to be said about the Coors Field/altitude effect on the pitchers, one reason I'd rather not deal with the Rockies if the Cubs got to advance.
