Any team that gives up a grand slam to Kaz Matsui deserves to get eliminated quickly.

What about teams that give up HRs to Mark Reynolds and Stephen Drew in the same game?

I still can't believe that happened. It's always the Mark Reynolds of the world that seem to kill us.

Well that's not good either but giving up one to Kaz is worse.

I calculated that it is 5.2% more likely that Reynolds and Drew hit homers in the same game than Mastsui hits a homer. So, its pretty darn close.

Whats wrong with Mark Reynolds? His AB/HR is just slightly worse than ARAM. The kid can rake. He had 31 HRs in the minors last year.

Hahah. Hopefully this holds up, because then the Mets can know that not only did they collapse, but they gave it up to a team that was then summarily dismissed in the first round.

Friggin' PERFECT

Yeah, I think some people view these players as if they are other team's crappy castoffs. With the exception of an Augie Ojeda, most of these players were top prospects adjusting to the big league game. Not many people realize that a lot of these players got better as the year went on. Stephen Drew would have been a number 1 pick if he didn't have Boras as his agent, Reynolds had good power numbers in the minors, etc.

Well in the press conference, Manual did say "all we have to do is lose the next game".

That was hilarious.

I can't believe Rox are about to go 2-0 in Philly. This series is done!

I'd love to see the Rox and Cubs go at it.

Agreed. Law of averages. They have to cool off sometime. What a better time to than in the NLCS against us if we make it.

And I figure if they sweep and our series goes 4-5 games they may have off 3-4-5 days before the next series starts...could break the streak...

10-3 Rox.

I'll say it right now if we can get past AZ, we'll get to the World Series. Rox are playing out of their mind right now. They have to slow down sometime. Z, Lilly, and Hill will do the honors.

Rox also went on a 20-7 stretch just before they became games 4 thru 6 of the 7-game winning streak in June. Cubs already have a history of cooling them off.

For whatever reason I think this is the year folks. Have faith!
