Playoff gear...What are you getting...where?

What of the things I really enjoy about having my teams win, is going out and getting all the gear. Back in January, I stopped at the Sports Authority downtown on my way home from the Bears game to pick up the t-shirt. On Saturday, I headed out to SA again and got the Cubs division champs shirt. I'm still looking for the hat though.

 

What is everyone else getting, and where (I still want to get the hat!)?

I've decided I'm done buying shirts for things like division championships (which I did in 03) and wild cards (which I did in 98). They become worthless in a matter of days, anyway, because they either lose (and who wants to wear a tribute to what amounts to a failure) or they win and then you want the real championship gear.

 

That said, I might pick up a new fitted Cubs hat this week before I head to the playoff game. My old one is looking pretty beat from everyday wear.

I bought the championship hat and white t-shirt on Friday night when the MLB.com website showed "In Stock." I got an email today that says they are back ordered & I will have to wait. Boooooooooooooooooooo! :cry:

 

The series might be over by the time I get the stuff.

 

In 03 I went to the NLCS (game 1, greatest game ever except they lost) and bought a program, hat, and the hoodie. I still wear the hat and hoodie.

My mom works at a sports store. I told her to pick me up a division champ shirt; i didnt specify which one.

 

I assume I won't see it till I go home next, though. And that's going to be close to a month. Hopefully she has a few more shirts when I go to pick those up too...

I'll get a T-shirt if we don't win the pennant, I'll get a T-shirt and a hat and an actual pennant if we win the pennant but lose the Series, and I'll get everything otherwise.

 

Part of the reason I haven't cashed in my bet with Wolf yet is because I want to wait and see if I can get him to buy my NL pennant or WS title hat if it comes to that :)

Has anyone been able to find this hat??? I've called Sports Authority the last two days with no luck. Now this afternoon, I called and they are already sold out. Wrigleyville Sports has the hat for $30 and CubsWorld is at $35---making me wonder if they had delivery issues, so why not screw us fans...It's driving me nuts! I must have my hat!

I remember in 03, the Central Division Champs hat was REAL hard to get, and going for $40-50 on Ebay. I like to have them for keepsakes, but I ain't buying one in the next 6 months unless it is reasonable.

I like the locker room hat much better than this one....although this one kind of reminds me of the 2003 version.

 

I'll end up buying a hat from the farthest level we go (Div. Champ.; NL Champ.; or World Champ) and likely one of those ringer t-shirts...they're pretty sweet...either way I'm waiting till its over so I don't end up buying 3....

I have the roster shirt on order from CubWorld (although the USPS tracking says it was "missent" today :x). That blue division champions hat is really, really nice, but I have about 14 pieces of Cubs headwear (including a yarmulke with a Cubs logo on it) as is; if I'm going to make it an even 15, I'll wait for a hat that says "WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS" on it.

But I've also got a panoramic of Wrigley, a picture from Wrigley when if first opened...a poster from the 1945 World Series, and a few other random Cubs things...so maybe I overstated the % of the wall....its almost all Cubs stuff (well, one rather large framed Guinness print from Ireland)....
