Don't forget, he was the worst outfielder we've had at picking a ball off the ground in... well, I have no idea how long.

Still, he was decent at catching and, in his last year, a heck of a hitter.

Seriously, though his defense is atrocious. I couldnt stand his routes or his throws. I too do not miss the check swings.

 

Great hitter though but at this stage in his career he belongs in the AL.

His 1st season was terrible, but his numbers in 03' and especially 04' would sure look good in our lineup. He did plenty of annoying things but I would take pee-hands back, guy can rake.

 

I wonder what his retirement plans are, he doesn't seem to slow down hitting wise. A move to the AL and he could easily go another 3 years of high productivity barring health issues.
