Dempster? :?

is there something wrong with that? he plays hard and he's a phenomenal person.

Im just surprised.

why?

as Tim was emphasizing a couple days ago regarding Theriot, there is a HUGE difference between liking someone and thinking that they're a great player. the fact that analytic people tend not base their decisions on emotions hardly implies that they don't have them.

Dempster gets an honorable mention from me, because as mentioned, he's an incredibly nice and funny guy.

mark prior definitely makes my top 5, but i didn't count him because he's not on the active roster. I'd probably have put him at #3, making my list

ARam - the money he left on the table this winter spoke volumes

Rich Hill

DLee - smooth as silk

DWard

Geo Soto - took me a while to get on the bandwagon, but damn he's been awesome

Not to derail this thread, but can anyone with a better knowledge of the minors explain why they expect his upswing this year in the minors and majors to continue long term? What separates his early success from Cedeno's? My bad if the explanation was posted in the Geovany soto thread. I just saw a lot of repetitions of his name.
