I am having a hard tme getting worked up or blaming Lou when the Cubs are 2 outs away from winning another one.

Why in the hell is the crowd doing the Tomohawk chop?

Just getting ready for the Braves game in a little while.

I guess...

So let me get this figured out. If the Cubs win, their Magic # is 7, regardless of the Brewer win or loss?

Yes. The magic number is any combination of Cubs wins and Brewers losses. When/if it reaches zero, the Cubs win the division.

So what happens if the Brewers lose this afternoon? Six?

Correct.

Being a Braves fan. Hell, I'm a big brave fan for the moment.

That's what I thought. Just needed confirmation. Thank you and Mizzou.

Again, I don't mind seeing Dempster come in and hopefully have a scoreless inning to get back on track.

I didn't mind doing that yesterday, I mind doing it 2 days in a row.

Look, Lou, I understand you have a day off Monday, so it's not a big deal if some bullpen arms pitch every game this weekend, but it doesn't mean you have to have your good arms pitch every game this weekend when it's wholly unnecessary.

Wuertz hasn't pitched since Tuesday, why not get him an inning to keep him fresh?

OK, I've recovered from my Sam Fuld heart attack enough to type again. It was so exciting to see him make such an amazing play.

BTW, the catch he made in RF last Saturday afternoon in St Louis was nearly as good. There was just a bit more padding :) I saw him walking out to the bus on Sunday morning and he didn't look terribly sore then, so hopefully the bricks won't create too many bruises.

It was wonderful to see him finally get an AB too...pretty sure I remember reading something earlier this week that someone had hung a "Moonlight Graham" sign in his locker. He's got an excellent eye, and was not surprised to see him with the discipline to take a walk.

Woot! Now I'm really wishing I could get on a plane and catch a few Arizona Fall League games, as he's one of the folks we're sending.

And remember, now that there's a Fuld bandWGN, I'm the originator!
