I can't stand Pat Hughes.

STOP SOUNDING EXCITED WHEN THE GOOD THING HAPPENS FOR THE OTHER TEAM.

I love Pat, but do you notice that he is always building up the tension when the other team has a chance to score, rather than talking about how we will shut them down?

Baseball is always knocked as a boring game. Pat keeps the game tense and exciting. He's one of the best in the business, and for good reason.

The difference in this game is that Pittsburgh's manager knew when to remove his useless starter. We kept ours in to throw BP.

They both gave up 7 runs in less than 3 innings. I think we can call it a wash.

Pretty much a new ball game...

Big runs in the first inning usually mean the pitcher stays in for at least a couple. I think it is different. Game should be nowhere close to being tied right now.

Marquis: 2.2 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 2 BB, 1 K

Maholm: 2 IP, 10 H, 7 R, 0 BB, 3 Ks

Yeah, but that's because the Cubs should have done better last inning with the bases loaded and no outs.

Crap... just when it looked like there was gonna be a 1-2-3.

I don't think anyone will go 123 in this game.

Has that ever actually happened?

And Hart is gonna give the lead back.

Just couldn't have that 1-2-3 inning could we?

Umps are getting paid by the hour today. Cleveland beat Cincy 51-45 last weekend. Today's final will be close to that.

They did score twice, that's about average for a bases-loaded, no out situations.
