He was leading the Cuban League in HRs. He's no Gourriel but he's a solid prospect, if you can call him that (he is 26). He's a SS/CF but played 2B at the WBC because of Paret.

 

Honestly, he might be an option at shortstop or centerfield in a year or so. This is a guy we NEED to look at.

nice plate coverage. that ball seemed to be a couple inches off the plate. Not too many guys can hit a ball like that back to their pull field. I expect the yankees and red sox to be in heavy on this guy. Especially if the yankees dont want to re-sign arod.

The Cubs lack of depth at SS has me worried and I'd like to have the Cubs sign this guy but at a decent cost. If the Yanks and Red Sox get into a bidding war, let them have him. The Yanks can send the Cubs Cano to make room for this guy!
