Ronnie is great. Gotta love that he just starts yelling uncontrollably whenever something good happens.

After DeRo makes contact, I think Santo yells "no!" because he thinks Weathers is going to field the ball and start a 1-2-3 double play. Not sure though.

Four and a half minutes of good stuff; home runs, key strikeouts, Sori's throw to the plate and some postgame words from Dave Kaplan that I thought captured the week... hell, the entire season pretty well. Enjoy.

"He IS the Bulldog!"

That K Lilly got to end the 7th was an awesome call. I listened live and it was well-called all the way through. Lots of good moments from tonight, and I liked Kaplan at the end too. It was pretty sweet when he just randomly threw the song on too.

santo sounded like he was crying before the play with soriano throwing out hopper at the plate.

Ron admitted he had a cold all night, but the crying thing wouldn't surprise me either.

Man, I love how Pat was starting to go hoarse at the end of the game. He was practically screaming everything in the late innings. WOW, what energy!

he prolly was..you would too if your job was to watch this team day in and day out-especially having as much invested as he has..

thanks 22, this is a fun way to close the season, regardless of how it ends.

Ron Santo calls every game like its the last he'll ever see.

And I wouldn't want it any other way. This has been a fun season, after all.

I'm been comparing Pat and Ron from 2003 to this season. Pat seemed a lot more reserved and a little more distant in 2003, knowing that he was potentially making historic calls.

Even his division clincher, "Goodbye Houston, hello Atlanta!" had a ring of posterity to it.

But this year, he seems much more passionate about each win. Last night's game, "I'm never going to forget this game" statement shows me that he's enjoying each win that much more than 2003.

Anyone else picking up on that?

Thank you for posting those audio files. They'll make their way to my mp3 player to warm up cold winter days.
