Thats the easy answer, however, you need to ask first A. Which position needs to be adressed most, and B. Can we afford A-Rod without never being able to sign another free agent for the next 10 years.

if we did get a-rod how would we go about it. we would not be required to trade for a-rod would we?? is he technically a free agent if he opts out or is he guaranteed that contract through the end of 8 years or whatever it is?

I would dig abreu. If Soriano is going to bat leadoff and Murton is going to be a sub (or traded), we might as well have a high obp guy in the two hole. We could move Theriot down to the 8 spot.

 

Abreu could make a huge difference to this lineup, really.
