You can all be as negative as you want but the season isn't over... the Brewers are beatable, evident by tonight's spanking and as hot as the Cards are, their pitching magic will only last so long. 2 straight wins to close out this series is gonna turn a lot of people again. The life of a Cubs fan.

 

I'm with you. I think a lot of the bitterness from Demp queefing it up yesterday carried well into today.

 

well, i don't fit into that boat...

 

i actually don't really pin yesterday on dempster...

 

this team has been skating by for a while now, and i keep praying that they come together for that grand final push...everyday that goes by without that happening makes me a little bitter and nervous and it also makes me prepare for a broken heart

Come on, dude. I understand the urge to stay positive, but we've been here so many times before. Why get sucked in by hope only to have your heart ripped out yet again?

 

Sure, everyone in this division is mediocre, they will still be tied for first, tomorrow's another day. Yadda, yadda, yadda. I've heard all the platitudes. No matter what advantage the Cubs might have, be it athletic, situation, or what have you, they will find a way to screw it up. I've seen it too many times. My father saw it too many times. My grandfather, who lived on this earth 82 years without witnessing a Cubs World Championship, saw it too many times.

 

History is a real bitch sometimes.

It could be worse, guys. You could be in game two of a best-of-five playoff series and be no-hit through 8.

 

Of course, this is happening to the Cubs AA team.
