Just out of curiosity...who'd of thunk that Joel Piniero would have a lower ERA than any of our starters?

 

The sample size is way too little compared to the innings our pitchers have thrown to get anything from that

do you have any numbers on cubs starters era's for when they get a W versus when they get a ND versus when they get an L?

 

That one will take some doing..... let me put that on the back burner for the time being.

 

i suspected it might. if it's too much work, absolutely don't worry about it. i was just curious as to how it would compare to qs.

Starters    6.33     2.47
Relievers   5.35     1.79
Overall     5.95     2.28

 

this is kind of what i was figuring it would be. i'll bet it's even more striking with actual wins and losses.

 

this needs to be its own thread (especially if you or ryan devote a lot of time to coming up with more numbers), there's no way there will be a reasonable conversation about this in here.
