I feel very uneasy about tomorrow too...For some reason, Parra scares the daylights out of me against this team.

What starting pitcher should you not be scared of?

A Cubs one

Which game was the original Rally Pickler game, anyway?

Tried googling it but couldn't find it.

the girl in the picture is an old photo of kelly pickler (the country singer) someone posted on game threads the night she sang "take me out to the ball game" at wrigley. The cubs made a comeback after they posted a few pictures because people didn't know who she was. Somebody called it the "rally pickler"

Every time I see your sig I think it looks like it says "Pablo Rivera"

Haha, yeah that's what I thought it said as well.

I was concerned about that, because I could understand it but I know who it is in the first place. I had another cool one, I'll try that one out for a while.

Meh. Worst case, we lose a game of ground in this series. That's why winning yesterday was so big.

We have to stop thinking like that.

There's no excuse to let a team that was just swept by a last place team to come into your house and win two out of three. None.

The problem is that there's no killer instinct among anyone on this team (except maybe Z); they all think they can go 83-79 and win the World Series just like the Cards did. You know what? That's a rarity. You can't expect to play like utter dogcrap in the most important games of the year and be ready to throw the switch come playoff time.

The Brewers are a dying team. Instead of nailing the coffin shut, we're giving them CPR.

Funny how Ron and Pat sort of just segue into other things when they think the Cubs are done. The game becomes a backstory.

Anyone got any ideas for other ways to get Weeks on base?

How many good outings does Kerry have to have before everyone stops saying he sucks?

everybody sucks until they do something really really good

Considering he's only being brought in for mop-up duty, it's going to take a lot for him to prove his worth.

It's time to give up the dream. Wood isn't going to be the pitcher we remember from 1998, or even the stretch run in 2003, at least the lights-out arm everybody remembered him to be.

Yeah everyone else on the team besides Z isn't trying cause they want to put up as little effort as posible in winning the division. They certainly don't want to build up a lead so they can relax down the stretch. Only Z is trying, and I know this because he waves his arms when he ends an inning. Derrek Lee doesn't even smile that often.
