Finally, a Mark Prior update

I'm very very impressed that it took 20 posts til somebody questioned Mark Prior's desire. We used to not be able to go 5 posts. Things are improving.

Just make the choice a fully forward-looking, objective one, and completely absent of memories of 2003 and whatever preconceived expectations were once held for these guys.

 

At the same time, one would hope a new GM would realize that Wood and Prior are two completely different people, Prior is still pretty damn young, and he pitched very well in 2004 and 2005.

Will Carroll: You know, that's a great comp and one I know Mark likes. Mark has a couple years on him if you line up their career paths. I'm not going to say Prior has a Cy in his future, but I'm not going to say he's not either.

Will Carroll: Worse. And work on the labrum wasn't as advanced.
