Too bad about tonight's game being cancelled. I know the players were disappointed. TV cameras showed how bummed out Z was when the Umps stopped the game. Does anybody know what the weather forecast is for tomorrow game? Hopefully we can get it in.

100% chance of rain, possibly heavy. Doesn't look promising.

mostly crappy

looks like they may be able to start around 2 or 3? I try to be optimistic. I don't think this hurts the cubs if they cancel that one too. the bullpen is pretty taxed. hopefully they won't find the need to replay them.

As long as it doesnt interfere with the Bears game, I don't care.

Isn't the game in Indy and therefore inside the RCA Dome?

I think he's referring to the Cubs' game overlapping into the Bears' game if the Cubs have a late start or delays.

Yeah gotta make sure preseason NFL goes down without a hitch.

"You think anybody takes a preseason game like its BS? BS!"

I looked at a radar and it looked decent... of course I'm no expert

I have tickets for today... does anyone know the protocol as to what happens if it's PPD before the 5th? Would I get a ticket for another game, or do they not do that

You'd get either a refund or a ticket for another game; I'm not sure which, or if it would be your choice. I'm sure the ticket policy is posted on cubs.com.

So if for some reason today's game was rained out would there just be a double header on one of the off days?
There could be a DH on one of the two common off-days, or they could wait and schedule it for the day after the end of the regular season if it has a bearing on the playoff race and just cancel it otherwise.

Preseason football is the lamest sporting event this side of the WNBA.

I can't possibly imagine caring about it over a Cubs game even if we were in last place.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I enjoy watching preseason football just in anticipation of real football and to judge how good team are. I would never watch preseason football if it weren't leading up to the regular season.

Isn't that preseason implies?

I agree with those brothers that don't think a second rain out is necessairly a bad thing. We certainly might lose a little momentum, after having won the last three but in the long run, I think any rest the players can get (especially our bullpen) will really benefit the team. And I do hope that the Cubs will eventually build up a commanding lead late in the season--that these rain outs wont have to be played.
