Man, Ram has become an absolute vacuum at 3rd.

It's amazing turn around. He was a butcher at 3rd when we first traded for him.

why does MLB extra innings have to black THIS game out! Grrrr

For every Saturday of the regular season, the FOX Television Network has the exclusive national rights to broadcast games up until 7:00pm ET (4:00pm PT). So, while you will not receive Major League Baseball games on your MLB EXTRA INNINGS® channels any of those Saturday mornings or afternoons, you will receive the available Saturday night games that begin after 7:00pm ET (4:00pm PT). For Saturday morning and afternoon games, check out the FOX Network local schedule.

someone post the radar please!

Don't worry about the radar. We are going to get this game in.

Let's hope we get the "official" game in, but no need for more (as long as the Cubs are still leading).

I would like my sacrifice noted for the record.

I am intentionally not listening to the game on the radio and not watching on TV but following it here because that has worked well the last two games.

I am missing this for cubs fans everywhere.

I hope you all appreciate it.

You're welcome.

You've done well, Swords. The longer till you watch another game the better. :D

I don't like the first pitch swinging by Murton there.

I always wonder what would have happened to guys such as CPatt, Murton, and Choi if they had a more competent manager and better coaches when they first came up. Maybe nothing would have changed, but it's hard to tell.

Cpatt and Choi would never of been good no matter who the manager was.

Cubs just trying to facilitate the bot of the 5th, and past, to make the game official is all - by only forcing AR to throw like 6-7 pitches that last half inning.

Reyes was throwing meatballs in the 3rd, nothing wrong with swinging 1st pitch in that case. Of course Murton popped out, so it likely wasn't a meatball he threw him there.

Can we preemptively cut off the Choi/Patterson discussion, if not for me, then for the people/person following the game through this thread?

Here's to hoping DLee is "getting his groove back"... hitting the wall-banging 1B (that was right down the heart of the plate [pitches he was watching go past up until that AB]) and then the RBI 1B to the opposite field, to be 2-2 so far. Edited by CubsBears29

Thank you. I shall hold out as long as I can.

I'm not so sure. Dusty had an Orioles game earlier in the season and Corey was playing. Dusty was bragging about how he taught Corey to swing at high fastballs (which KILLED Corey) when Corey proceeded to strike out swinging on that exact pitch.

Maybe Corey was doomed from the get-go, but I really have to wonder about the competence of the managers and coaches the Cubs have had in the past few years.
