Keys to the rest of the season

Other than the obvious like Zambrano getting his stuff together and Soriano and Ramirez coming back fully and staying healthy, what are these overlooked qualities this team possesses that haven't been maximized?

 

My one: Matt Murton.

 

Whether is RF against RHP or LF against LHP, Murton is showing this month (.359/.595/.954) what he can do when he plays consistently. Guess whose career numbers these are? (.362/.446/.808). Indeed.

 

Additionally, Murton's consistent approach should encourage Lou to move Soriano down the order. Theriot + Murton at the top of the order seems to me would be as effective if not more than what we've seen. A lineup with Soriano, Lee and Ramirez following those two, with Jones, DeRosa and Kendall is at least the best we can offer top-bottom.

the outfield situation hasn't gotten any better since the beginning of the season...

 

moving soriano to right and freeing up all of our left-fielders seems like a very good idea to me...but that leaves center field...so...
