Like I said yesterday, Theriot is out best player.

not even close.

He may not be teams best player, but he may be the smartest and he is a damn good baseball player period.

being smart doesn't make you "damn good". he's decent, he knows his limitations, and he tries real hard. he's just not nearly as good at baseball as soriano, lee, aram, or derosa.

Sorry, he is a damn good player. He may not be as talented as Lee, Ramirez etc, but he plays the game right, smart, performs and therefore to me he is a damn good player.

i don't know what that means.

Geddy Lee @ Rockies, working his magic?

I'll be seeing Geddy and Rush at Red Rocks tomorrow. That's why I'm not in Houston. Little time for myself _ and Rush.

red rocks is awesome. enjoy, but find something out for us while you're at it.

I'll find out Rush rocks in person for something like my 11th time since 1976. Got another show lined up in Milwaukee.

you're one of those rush guys, eh? very talented band, just not my cup of tea.

I understand. I've been hooked since seeing them at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago in 1976. So yeah, I'm one of those Rush guys. :jocolor:

i hear that they just come out and start playing, which is nice. too many bands fall in love with talking to the crowd.

i know a few people who are going to the show in milwaukee, all old farts and Yes fans.

No backup band, either. Just three hours of Rush.

woo, that's a long haul.

well leadoff homer single reaches 2nd on an error then not a damn thing else happens because fontenot strikes out looking lee strikes otu looking after a sac fly would score theriot and floyd well atleast he swung.

Nice to see D-Lee and A-Ram and the rest of the boys picking it up in Soriano's absence the last couple of days. I could half way excuse last night due to the travel and their pitcher's success at home, but this is pathetic.

I knew it. Standing pat at the deadline is gonna kill this team. Hendry for got that this IS the same team that played like the Bad News Bears the first 2 months of the season. Take away Barretts production....and there you have it. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it.

THIS TEAM IS TANKING RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES.

some people on here just need to stop being so biased. Floyd isn't a great player, but her certainly doesn't suck. Kinda funny how some of the same people who rag for a better team OBP want Floyd who has an OBP of about .370 to never play.

Ramirez ticks me off by sitting out every 4th or 5th game. He isn't helping the team with his butt on the bench.

I'm not sure that's his doing....doesn't Lou make out the lineups?

This makes no sense. The Cubs come into the launching pad that is Minute Maid Park where the Padres put up 11 in one inning earlier this season, and facing 2 horrible pitchers, completely forget how to hit. Lee doesn't swing. No one except Murton homers, and we strand runners like crazy. It was less than a week ago that this team was on top of the world... WTF happened? Soriano must make everyone else work. Edited by Rondon Fan

Floyd is basically Juan Pierre, but he's not fast and he takes a couple more walks.

unfortunately soriano's injury, and the fact that it came just after the trade deadline, gives hendry a ready-made excuse for the offense tanking the rest of this year. And the morons who decide his future won't realize that the team was flawed with or without soriano.
