This is completely crass, but I was getting so furious the first few innings that my stomach got really unsettled and during the 5th I had to go...uh...open the bomb bay doors. After that was done, the Cubs suddenly got their act together.

I don't know if my digestive system can hold up with the rest of the season.

Over the course of Marquis' contract, he's destined to become unbearably and reliably brutal. What are the chances that, in that event, the Cubs switch his and Marmol's place on the team?

Wood K's 2nd batter he faces on a offspeed pitch hit 92 on the gun against that batter

3rd batter pop up first pitch

Thanks for the Wood updates, Keener. They're much appreciated.

No problem I have nothing else to do since my cable company suddenly doesnt show WCIU games like they did earlier in the year.

Kerry started off throwing 5 straight balls but calmed down. He threw his offspeed pitch, fastball, and his changeup that inning. Kerry back to the mound now

How does anyone ever get a hit off Marmol???

No clue. His slider is nastier than Chyna's Playboy stint.

The Brady Bunch ended over 30 years ago and these idiots are still making money off of their fame.

jealous much?

not really.

Don't forget they don't get royalty checks after the series goes into sydication like modern actors get for their TV series.

completely untrue.

Kerry Wood on the bump in Jax...

Yeah...I'm charter...maybe its a DirecTV/Charter difference..

As part of the compromise with MLB, DirecTV gets the Phillies and Padres feeds that are unavailable on the cableco EI packages.

That is really strange...Why Philly and the Padres?

Previously, Cox (San Diego) and Comcast (Philadelphia) wouldn't allow DBS or EI access to their in-house sports channels, primarily as a means of making DirecTV and Dish Network unattractive to fans in those cities. Without cable, you couldn't get the games.

In order to gain access to EI after DirecTV signed the exclusive agreement earlier this year, the cablecos made numerous concessions, including the release of these channels.

So they went from cable exclusive, to not cable at all? Or not EI Cable at least....again...odd...oh well...that's what...5 games a year?

Well, assuming there is some causation, you'd better learn how to #2 on demand!!!

I think Marmol will have Dempster's job before long.

I'd much rather have Marmol available for spots like this. Relegating him to closer almost seems like a waste.

I agree, but he will be the closer one day. You can bank on it.

Oh, I don't doubt it...I just don't see the need to usher Dempster out unless he has another run like he did last year.
