I'll give Hamels credit, but it seems like the guys are sleepwalking through this one with their plate approaches.

 

Blown chance, it appears.

 

Problem is, its basically the same plate approach they have shown the entire year.

Yea I like Z's chances better than Fontenots sub .600 OPS

Umm, Fontenot doesn't have a sub 600 OPS.

glad to see the cubs playing well tonight :roll: like has been said already from what i've read...good thing hendry is set with this team to try and win the division....

 

and of all the phillies to do the damage i couldnt be any more angry to find out it was rowand and iguchi

I've watched teh cubs since '84 and I never remember them playing well against teh phillies.

 

 

 

Why the hell do we not attempt to throw out baserunners?

When was the last time our catcher even attempted to throw out a runner? Our pitchers are terrible at holding runners on.

I figured that's what you were referencing... kinda cause you've said that at least 80 times in the last two days.

 

Switch it up a little bit, like maybe mention that his OPS this month is sub 500. It makes your case so much better.
