Wood will throw a side session before pitching coach Larry Rothschild Sunday before the Cubs announce his next minor league rehab location, probably Triple-A Iowa.

 

 

But the possibility of Wood being called up by next weekend is looking more and more likely.

UPDATE at 5:39 p.m.: Matt Murton was a late scratch in right field, so Cliff Floyd took his place and was moved into the clean-up spot, with DeRosa batting fifth, Fontenot sixth and Jones seventh. No word yet on why Murton was scratched.

Lou should lay off the vino & realize that he is best served by using Cliff off the bench & allowing Murton regular playing time. If Murton isn't going to start regularly, trade his a**; he just doesn't appear to be a guy who's gonna perform w/ only irregular playing time.
