It doesn't look like he's pitched since July 7th. Has he been shut down? Haven't seen any news on him lately.

Hurt probably.

He just can't be counted on for anything at this point. Wood has a better shot at returning, thats saying something!

Iowa-Chicago express keeps rolling

When Dempster appeared at Iowa this week, it was almost like old-home week. He could renew acquaintances with Ronny Cedeno, Felix Pie, Geovany Soto, Clay Rapada, Rocky Cherry and disabled pitchers Angel Guzman and Neal Cotts.

Well we knew he was disabled...we were trying to figure out what his rehab status was.

That article was written on July 20th and Cotts pitched for Iowa the following day. So using their logic, the "disabled" Guzman should be pitching in no time.

Hey, that's all I could find. Sorry.

what happened to Cotts?

He just wasn't any good...that's all right?

He wouldn't be on the minor league DL just for not being very good.

Bruce[/url]"]This and that: Jim Hendry said pitcher Angel Guzman (elbow) probably won’t begin pitching in the minor leagues until the middle of August … If the Cubs don’t acquire a bat through a trade, it’s possible outfielder Matt Murton could come up from Iowa, Hendry said.
