Quick side note, is there any competition for A-Ram as far as being the best Cubs trade since Sammy Sosa?

There shouldn't be. He's been our best player for 3 years.

Best position player. I'd argue Big Z as the best Cubs player though during that time period.

Zambrano wasn't acquired via a trade though was he?

He was aquired from Venezuela for an 8 ball.

That's also how we got Sammy from the Rangers when Dubya was owner.

Too bad they got him from the White Sox for George Bell

In 2005, I think Lee has to get some credit.

From 2004 to 2006, and thru 2007 so far, Aramis has been far superior. Lee wasn't very good in 2004.

How can you argue that? He wasn't a star, but he still had a 114 OPS+ and hit 30+ homers. He didn't get the OBP as high as usual, but I don't think it's fair to say he wasn't very good.

Aside from vanishing in April and September, he was fine.

Aramis was 136 OPS+ in 2004. Better.

Nice job by Lilly to gut it out on a day when he didn't have anywhere close to his best stuff. It helps that he facing the Giants and that the wind is blowing is, but he did his best to keep his team in it despite himself.

I'd still like to know what the hell he was thinking walking Durham in from of Bonds

"its called playing the percentages."

How did the cubs get runs 6 and 7?

Ramirez double home a run and Pagan doubled Ramirez in.

Haha. According to the CSN update, Sergio Mitre is winning the British Open.

The Pierre trade just keeps getting worse!
