I will give Izturis credit for these comments:

 

"I just want to play every day and now I get an opportunity to go to Pittsburgh. I don't know the situation over there, but I'm going to miss this team," Izturis said.

 

"There are a lot of good people around here. Good team, but it's business. ... I have to give credit to the young guys like Theriot and [Mike] Fontenot, they bring energy for the team."

 

I don't know much about Izturis' personality, but some of the venom on these boards is uncalled for. Jacque Jones, for one, is an incredibly nice guy. I want him off the team as much as anyone, but some of the insults really are out of place. It's not like he's the head of the SS or something. Same goes for Glendon Rusch over the past couple of years.
