The Giants series has me worried. While their lineup is obviously terrible, we're going to see:

Lincecum

Cain

Morris

Zito

Lincecum is inconsistent.

Cain has been pretty bad.

Morris is decent, but should be familiar.

Zito has been the worst of them all.

Cain has a 122+ ERA and a disappointing but not unacceptable 1.35 WHIP. He hasn't been bad anyway you slice it.

Ye ol' 3-10 record is pretty much the way 90% of people would say he's been bad.

That 4.24 BB/9 isn't all that good, though. This team just needs to be patient...which is why I'm concerned about that particular game.

Cain has a 3.53 ERA. That's not "pretty bad."

Morris is at 3.55.

I'm worried because Zito, Cain, and Lincecum all are capable of shutting us out. Not that I'm expecting it from any of them, but there's little doubt that they have the potential to do that.

i'm not worried about cain because the giants never score for him. it's incredible. they average 3.33 runs of support during his starts. they've scored more than 4 runs in his starts 3 times this year in 18 starts.

I wasn't basing it off the record, based it more on the BB%. But after looking at his other numbers I realize "pretty bad" was a mistake. I could care less what his record is.

Gracie talking us up on the post-game. Says we'll overtake the Crew in the next couple weeks.

I'm not sure how I feel about him saying that.

Grace and Kennedy predicting the Cubs will pass the Brewers soon and take the division.

I think Grace's prediction of "sometime over the next couple weeks" is a bit optimistic... And yes, I do know we gained 4 games over a 2 week span prior to the AS break...

Clearly no homerism in play for Mark Grace...

Yeah, obviously.

Although a lot of people like to make him out to be a Cub-hater.

Izturis 2 hits and a BB

For what it's worth, Izturis' career batting average against Houston is better than any other team in the National League - .348 BA with a .384 OBP.

Guess Lou was playing the numbers. =D>

Well that's because on one round table sports type show I saw him literally trashing the Cubs the whole show. I'll never forget that.
