I'm done. My 7 game win streak will come to an official end tomorrow. Thanks for the most part to 14 ERs in 6 innings combined allowed by Alan Embree and Kelvin Escobar. Without those 41 negative points, I would be down 10 right now. Other than that, I have 4 starts over 18 points. Offense has been fine for the most part.

 

Sucks to win 7 in a row, then when I finally lose, I go into a 1st place tie in my division. Also, sucks to lose this week when I won't be able to follow my team much in the following week.

I win the dumb manager of the week award. I meant for Halladay and Bonderman to take my last two starts this week, so I put James Shields on the bench and replaced him with Adam Wainwright just to keep a full 5 pitchers active. Lo and behold, I look at Live Scoring today and Wainwright is scoring points. Well, he was scoring points.

 

So now I have to bench Bonderman since I burned his start with Wainwright, who got me a whole 1/2 a point. Yee haaaa.

You probably would have been safe sitting both pitchers. Barring a few grand slams from my hitters I'd have a hard time making up that deficit even without you adding more points to your total.

 

Here's hoping for total stink jobs by both of your pitchers to create a miracle for me.

Thanks to 3 home runs so far today, my offense has held up the 10 point lead I had going into today with 0 starts against 2 starts.

 

Hope all of my closers get some work today. But, I'm still predicting that my Bonderman start that I can't use will be the difference between a win and a loss.

So much for any unlikely miracle. Lincecum pitched a gem (7 shutout innings) and Lackey pitched very well also, and it looks like I'll lose by triple digits. :(
