still looked out to me

have it frozen on Tivo right now. he's out.

Well unfortunately for the umps, they don't have 10 minutes to analyze the play on Tivo before making the call.

doesn't absolve them of their responsibility to see something other than what happened on the field. call could have gone either way, but bottom line is he got it wrong.

It's a bang-bang play. People here were mixed about it and couldn't tell whether the runner was out or safe. The ump thought he got the call right. They have one chance to do it. Bottom line is it took you freeze framing it on Tivo to know for sure.

just stuff it. you'll pick any little bone with me, won't you.

HE GOT THE CALL WRONG, I HAVE THE RIGHT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT!!!

didn't take Bob Tivo, shouldn't have taken the ump Tivo to get the damn call right.

Yes, I'll pick any little bone with you. That's why we get into arguments ALL the time. Oh wait, I almost forgot, we don't.

It was a bang-bang play. Half the time the runner gets called out, half time time he's safe. Umps miss calls way worse than that all the time.

your thin skin almost got me booted.

I don't care how close the play was. I do not care. and you're wrong about the ratio of bang bang plays. they get the majority of them right, and they got that one wrong. Bob saw it from the middle of Iowa. ump has the advantage of being five feet away, and hearing the play. he got it wrong, as seems to happen all too frequently against the Cubs. when it helps the Cubs, I fully admit it. either way, I see no reason for your snide remark about me using my Tivo.

So it would appear that it is you who has a problem with me and not the other way around. Maybe it's not my supposed thin skin rather something to do with how you conduct yourself on this site that got you booted.

Like I said, there are bad calls all the time. Period. They happen and they happen to every team. Maybe it's just your Cubs bias that you focus on the calls that go against the Cubs and forget about the calls that help the Cubs. Because they do happen. There is no league-wide conspiracy for the Cubs to suck. It doesn't exist. If anything, I would think there would be a conspiracy to help the Cubs because the league would make A TON of money if the Cubs were good again.

All I was saying was that the umps don't have the opportunity to review the play for 10 minutes on their Tivo and freeze frame at the perfect moment like you do.

How mature of you.

Honestly, I'm really glad that we're such good friends. No seriously, I am.

Eyre is staying in?? Don't test your luck, Piniella.

has to. 10 man staff at the moment. Marmol is probably gased.

Need to get it to Howry.

the exteemed Mr. Stephen Randolph getting lit up in cheeseland.

1 HR?

care to reassess?

Yep. You spoke before it happened, but yes, Randolph getting Eyre-d up.

no worries. Astros have Burke, Munson and Bruntlett due.

Uggh. Eyre as a significant part of the bullpen is bad news. Maybe someone will see him today and we can sell high and trade him for a tuna salad?
