As far as Lee's suspension goes. Usually appeals are heard when the team is near the league office in New York. I would bet that Lee will have his appeal heard when the Cubs play the Nationals next week, or during the all-star break.

Busted my tail to get here Saturday night..... only to find out that I can't deliver this damned load until this morning !!! I had visions of dropping this trailer and getting another and being 1500 miles from here by now. Oh well.

 

Found a motel up by the intersection of I-20 & I-520; used to be a Howard Johnson, but now an Indian gentleman owns it. It's clean, has truck parking, free wi-fi, and WGN on the cable system.... so it passes my rigorous standards.

 

My perfect record is still intact, though..... every time I come to Augusta, you're not here !!!

That's about a block and a half from my old apartment. My favorite Waffle House in the area used to be right there, as well as pretty much the best golf store I've ever seen, but those are getting torn down to redo the whole interchange there. Where did you have to drop your load? (har har)

When the whole incident went down, Len and Bob were saying that appeals used to only held in NY so when a team played there, that's when the appeals were heard. But, they said with the unbalanced schedule, representatives will fly to the city the player is in when it works into the schedule. Not saying it couldn't happen then, but Len and Bob said it could happen at any time due to reps flying to meet the players now.

I think your golf store is next door to me, but I don't see a Waffle House around here anywhere. There's a Ruby Tuesday up north of here, by Wal-Mart & Home Depot. We went over to the 194 exit on I-20, closer to the base, and had dinner at the Cracker Barrel. They had a Waffle House & a Huddle House over there.

 

This load delivers to a small warehouse on Columbia Nitrogen Rd, over by DSM Chemicals & Monsanto. Then, I gotta go pick up a load at Kimberly Clark over on Beech Island. Love the aroma over that way !! :wink:

Actually, when you get off on exit 194, you could turn right OR left and hit a Waffle House within the first tenth of a mile. That town is swimming in Waffles. And wonderful aromas.

2 out 3 by the Cubs this series probably drops them back one more in the standings.
