Edmonds and Looper to DL

Looks like the Cards have put Edmonds and Looper on the DL. Who didnt see Looper going to the DL eventually since hes never been a starter. Cards call up Cates, and the almighty Skip Shumaker.

Also Finley was granted his release from the Rockies today. So if Edmonds is down for any length of time, they might go in that direction. Skip Shumaker really isnt the answer to any ?.

Hes out of options though, so after they call him up hes there to stay or they risk losing him. He also seems like an all or nothing guy at the plate from the last time I seen his stats.

He has no idea how to take a walk. His OBP is terrible, but he's putting up a .932 OPS on the year. He's already got 19 homers. I'm sure he could definitely put up better numbers than Skip Schumaker.
