The Cards went up 4-1 in the 2nd inning only for him to give them all right back. He cant even make it out of the 2nd inning tonight before Larussa has to pull him. I think Kip should start more often for the Cards. This is probably his last start unfortuanatly though.

Man, I was so optimistic coming into the season. He has really, really struggled so far.

Im guessing he is done. This 2nd inning is one of the longest Ive ever seen. 8 runs in the 2nd inning wow

Flores didn't exactly clean up his mess, either. cards unfortunately managed to claw back to 9-6.

And an Alex Gordon homer makes it 11-6 KC in the 4th. This game is absurd.

EDIT: After a few more hits, it is now 15-6, still in the 4th. KC has scored 4 times with 2 out.

One of my absolute favorite things is that he stretched thier bull pen before the Oakland series...and Looper who goes tonight has already pitched more innings than he has in 4 years...and is 5 innings away from having pitched more innings than he ever has in his entire career...and, as Harbosky said last night..."Looked tired" his last two outings...

When you got Edmonds hitting in cleanup, you know you got problems.

If you think that's bad, Juan Encarnacion was batting clean up the day before.

Probably because they are usually up by so many runs, it just doesn't matter anymore.

He'll probably have an ERA of 2.84 in the playoffs.

Playoffs?

If the Cardinals make the playoffs with a rotation of Thompson, Wells, Looper, Wainwright and I don't remember who their 5th guy is, I might give up baseball forever.

Wellemeyer...

But of course word on the street here is that Carpenter picked up a baseball at somepoint in the last week...so they are fairly sure he'll be back to Cy young form by mid July....
