not sure why people are mad at the fans. the fans acted like fans do. I just wish the umpires would act as umpires should act.

 

are there umpires standing beneath the outfield fence? Give me a break. They can't see whether a fan grazes a ball 250 feet away.

 

If you're in the front row, you don't reach forward to grab a baseball. That's not difficult.

 

That's why I wouldn't be opposed to ump video replay to get the calls right.

Good analogy. I thought during the preseason that, for sure, Wells, Looper, Reyes, Wainwright, and the rest of their cast of clowns would all deliver with Cy Young seasons... just because they're the Cardinals. But, oh how the mighty have fallen.

Fontenot had solid PECOTA numbers coming into this year... as for the "legitimate starter FA signees", Wells sucked last year and he sucks this year. The only surprise was that he didn't turn into Carpenter (yet).
