It is the Hendry era. When different players are doing the same thing even after Baker is gone, it should solidify the point that Hendry is responsible for getting players who are not necessarily baseball smart. How Theriot is on this team I'll never know because he is not a Hendry type of player.

 

What has Theriot done to earn himself a reputation of baseball smartness?

 

I was referring to his patience at the plate.

Small sample size. We all know the man has prodigous power. He's got five 30+ HR seasons and two with 45 HR.

 

Yeah. Let's just ignore the 206 AB's he has this year. He's had a horrible two months. This isn't a bad two weeks we're looking at.

That he does. Still doesn't mean he hasn't been horrible this year.
