Yeah, Soriano gets hit and both teams get a warning, then Lilly hits Renteria and gets tossed. If that insult wasn't enough, they don't even say anything to Edgar for the forearm to Fontenot.

I was thinking the same thing. The whole situation is bulls*** but one of the players on the field should have at least said something about the forearm, if not Lou. I just don't understand umpires....its not hard to call the game fairly.

Best part was that he said he was waiting for it. He clearly was expecting to throw out a Cubs pitcher today, no doubt that he was biased. Has an umpire ever been disciplined for gross misconduct on the field? I'd say there is pretty much no way that anything is done to compensate the Cubs here.

1st inning. Struck out two batters and then hit renteria. There was no pregame warning, so we're mad. Plus Lou didn't get pissed. Then during the next AB, Renteria stole 2b and slammed into fontenot as revenge, but didn't get ejected. When we listened to what was said, the ump said, "I knew he was going to throw it." Oh, and Renteria left the game with a contusion in his arm/hand.

Like I said in the game thread, that's the point of the pregame warning. If you think a team is going to retaliate, you warn both teams before the game so they don't do it. Idiot umpires.
