Just for better organization, Baseball Discussions should be strictly for the Cubs.

"Other Teams" should include rivals, and any other team along the league. The current Rivalries board isn't really an active place. Categorizing it as a section for other teams will make it a livelier place and a place we visit more often.

This will also eliminate some confusion on where to post threads about non-Cubs talk.

Just a suggestion.

I agree.

Something should be done about this.

Perhaps renaming 'Baseball Discussion' to 'Chicago Cubs Discussion' and 'Rivalries' to 'Other MLB Discussion', or something like that.

Or we can just go back to only having the Baseball Discussion...

Yup, I never thought Rivalries was a great idea.

I'm fine with rivalries, but people need to stop putting threads about the A's and Red Sox in the rivalries forum. Our rivals are the NL Central teams and (I guess) the White Sox.

I hate rivalries, get rid of it

Rivalries should be a forum that only includes threads involving OMC and Sulleymon

Now that's a suggestion I could get behind-it's always funny to see the duplicate threads in baseball discussions/rivalries or transactions/rivalries because nobody knows where to post them. Instead, instant entertainment value!

don't click on it

Just because he doesn't like it does not mean that there arn't threads worth reading in it. He, like myself, probably does not see the point in making the distinction and creating a superfluous forum.

I don't think we need another Forum or a change to the Forum's we have. Just get rid of the Rivalries Forum. It's kind of pointless. All those threads could just go in baseball discussions.

I hope not, we'd have to open up yet another forum.

Nope. I only like weather people who went to real schools.

but the point of the forum is to keep Baseball Discussions from veering too far away from the Cubs

well, then like someone else said, change it to "other teams" then. Keep Baseball Discussions and Transactions for just Cub-related info.

Don't people post information (Schilling's one hitter, say) in baseball discussions? I'd rather they were there than in another forum.

I also have an extreme dislike for the Rivalries forum. I miss so much information about other teams because I never go in there. I would assume that any important information pertaining to the general operations of other teams would be in "baseball discussion" because, well, its a BASEBALL DISCUSSION.

Just put all the baseball discussions in one place. Either that or make Baseball Discussions JUST for the cubs, and then change Rivalries to OTHER TEAMS. [/u]

Is it that hard to click on the "Rivalries" forum and look at the threads in there.

Well no, but that's not really my beef.

My problem lies in the fact that what use is that forum? Just put it all in baseball discussions or put ALL the other teams in rivalries and change the name accordingly. It would just clear things up.
