i figured if the cubs players really didn't like lou as much as buster olney would have us believe, they would really pour it on when he's gone.

 

you know, maybe it's as simple as a manager really not making a big difference either way.

 

(i understand the +/- 5 game thing)

Ironically, Lee was the one who responded and he was the one trying to back Lou and Barrett might not have even been in the meeting. Who knows with this team.

you still post on a message board about cubs, watch the games, and are a fan. so yes, they have.

 

uh, not so much. I watch them knowing that they stink and will not win. I actually do that with all the teams I root for. Just because I cheer for them to win doesn't mean I'm crazy/dumb enough to believe that they actually will.

 

well, i suppose then, i wonder why a person would invest time into a cause they don't believe in.

 

force of habit.... plus i like baseball in general

thx, but unless im mistaken i cant even remember the last time the cubs won on my birthday, they have have two years ago, but i know they usually lose

Yeah we are Cub fans. Its not like we are Cubs fans because we are used to winning.

read a good article about Prince and Cecil in Sports Illustrated. Cecil is a giant douche.

 

I know that they don't speak or atleast didn't speak. What is the overall reasoning?

 

Well, during Cecil and Prince's mother's divorce, Cecil was a real dick to the mom and it really made Prince mad. Then, when Prince got signed out of high school, Cecil took like 300,000 or something out of the 2 million signing bonus and never gave it back. They don't talk at all.

ya i was being sarcastic, shoulda been more obvious, they never win on my birthday, gg guys, only way we win is if Only Pie and Aramis get to bat, and let Fonso and Lee get a couple plate appearances

They've won on my B-day (5/19) in back 2 back years. Let's hope you get a gift from the Cubs too.
