the best thing i got out of this draft was wickman only b/c i traded him for lilly. theriot in the 16th round may be my best pick. good thing i had a very good bunch of keepers.

You're an overrated GM, IMO.

seriously, forget the championships, what good moves have you made?

I'm just an outsider looking in.

Who did Adam inherit that team from....

Damn right.

Adam isn't an original manager? Hmmm, this was when you quit and then came back? So you have two heritage teams, right?

Yeah, I think I'm at two teams (could be more). Navin and Adam, I took over for Kent for a little bit too before the HS baseball season started as well.

I'm off to a 6-2 start with your team. :)

Actually I think that was a good trade for both of us. You had excess closers and needed a starter; I had starters to burn and needed a closer after Ryan went down.

I think my draft was good overall, although there were a few clunkers. Jenning with my top pick (2nd round) has been good when healthy and had a good return from the DL last night. Cordero (the Brewer) and Lilly (traded for Wickman), both in the 5th, have given me a good bullpen (when Wickman has been healthy). Washburn in the 10th and El Duque in the 13th have given me some surprisingly solid late-round starting pitching depth. Cabrera in the 15th is having the best season of his career so far. On the flip side, Sanchez in the 4th and Figgins in the 6th (both since released) didn't help me. Varitek in the 9th would have been a good catcher for me, but I made the mistake of being impatient with his slow start and dropping him in favor of Paulino. Gallagher (8th) and Colvin (11th) may help in the future. Crain (12th), Brown (14th), and Izturis (17th, just for fun) were throw-away picks I didn't have room for on my roster. Finally, in the 16th round I may have turned the biggest steal in the entire draft into the biggest blunder by drafting Sammy Sosa, then dropping him before the start of the season. I should have kept Sosa and dropped Figgins. :x

I made some bad picks, but a couple turned out pretty solid:

Youkilis (4th round, pick 58)

Okajima (13th round, pick 199)

i don't think anybody from your original team is left...i think blalock was the last one, and i got rid of him at the end of last year. i was sad to see him go. i kinda remember inheriting pujols from that team...i think i traded him to tim in a huge deal that got me tejada back when he was driving in 150 runs a year.
