i hope myers arm is broken because it couldn't take the move to the pen (not really, he's been pretty good for me lately) and they run charlie manuel's dumb [expletive] ass out of town for the stupid decision to make him a reliever.

Why is Myers benched? I didn't think you could change relievers in the middle of the week, only starters.????

Gorzelanny gives up 2 runs, but those 10 hits are gonna hurt tomorrow. Not a good pitching week at all through 3 starts for the Dishmans. This is definitely a time I'm glad I've got good relievers.

Big night for me with Marquis and Owings combining for 16 innings and 2 ERs. Owings with a huge CG for me, totaling 58.10 points between the 2 pitchers. I have a 4-2 start disadvantage, assuming Tim makes the appropriate move, including my 2 pitchers facing the Yanks and Braves. But I do own a 90-point lead. Randy Johnson missing his start this week could prove to be huge for me, as I will have a 7-6 start advantage for the week.

Gonna need some offense, boys!

Decent starting pitching will be the story between the Dishmans & the Budcrew. Through 5 combined starts, the average point total per pitcher per start is 0.55

Seriously.

I love getting all excited to hear that a team that I have players on scores big, only to be disappointed by the performance of MY players.

Seattle scored 12 runs last night. My two Seattle players went 0-10 at the plate. How is that even possible? :wtg:

That sucks. My players seem to have to score a lot of points in order for their teams to score. Morneau, Crawford, Sizemore.

Of course after the comments about the pitching Haren and Harang bust out a combined 62.65. I'm hoping that good Hirsh shows up tonight and at least matches what Z puts up later.

Make that Maddux, not Z. I'm an idiot.

Good job, Todd Helton. Hirsh stops the bleeding with a pop up on 2 outs and Helton lets the ball fall on the infield without even getting a glove on it. Goes down as another earned run.

Wow Maddux. He's given a 7 run lead, gets 2 outs and the glue comes off. Triple, HR, 2B, 1B, 1B and he's out on only 63 pitches. The TBA dragon is gonna bite hard.

On another note, Hirsh really settled down. Granted, he'll collapse now that I praised him.

i've got that going tonight too. boston, texas, arizona are all putting up runs, but not much from the drew sisters or teixeira.

bush and lilly killed me tonight...i'd have been better off with both of them on the bench and letting meche's horrible start kill my opponent. of course, the cubs are making sure lowe makes up for meche...wow, they have no clue offensively.

man, since i traded kouzmanoff, he has gone nutty.

Seriously.

That's actually better than my pitching last week, which was negative for the week.

If anybody is looking for pitching depth, I have excess starting pitching now with El Duque having returned (in a big way; shame on me for not having the confidence to put him in my lineup first start back) and Jennings returning next week. I'd be willing to trade any of my starters not named Webb for draft picks and/or minor league prospects. I'd also package a pitcher with a position player for a better player at that position.

Another week of subpar pitching for me. I have 3 starts today to try and get back in it.

I've been out of town with limited internet, so I haven't seen the daily scoring. I just hope that the first day of the week didn't screw me this week! I think I was -20 or better after Mondays games. Which was a swing of about 60-70 points! I'll be happy if I can sqeek one out this week.

Yesterday was pretty fun. There had to have been 20-25 lead changes last night. Good start by Z looks to be cancelled out by Kennedy & Arroyo.

I'm holding an 8 point lead up 2 starts to 0. If I can keep the scoring close down 3-0 in starts for the day I'll thank the offense.
