i really think you will see Guzman as the new closer next week.

his medical problems are going to preclude him from being a starter and they dont seem to be able to get it fixed.

with marmol up now and miller back next week, just makes the most sense. think its going to be cotts and wuertz setting up Angel.

Not a chance

what about carmel... aka carlos marmol being the closer.

I'd say Weurtz, but they hate him. My guess would be Howry(at least he would get the first shot)

Stats like this tell you about the past. They tell you very little, if anything at all, about the future.

because most people use stats to predict future value. high correlation of data usually.

Statistics like W-L record in one run games are almost entirely devoid of predictive value.

In the same vein as BA with RISP and 2 outs.

Why did we need to remove Murton for JJ? Murton's arm isn't very good for a RFer, but his range and routes are much better than JJ's.

did you miss the 9th inning yesterday?

murton should have made the dp, but double clutched the ball.

So you're going to put the rally off on him? I stated that his arm wasn't very good, but I'll take his range with nobody on over JJ's strong arm that spikes every throw into the ground.

Dempster's BAA is .191? Is that right?

That's not bad guys.

But walking 2 guys with a 4 run lead is.

True.

I think on the whole he's been pretty good this year with his stuff at least.
