It's a tie game. The other team IS trying to score. And they're a good offensive team. It's not like we're giving up runs to some scrubs.

This is another example of how conventional bullpen roles kill teams.

 

That was obviously a huge situation for the Cubs, but instead of bringing in Wuertz, we're holding on to him to set up if we have the lead later.

 

Is it really that hard for managers to figure it out?
