Amazing arm!!!

I apologize if this has already been covered, but did anybody witness Juan Pierre's AMAZING throw home from CF last night in an attempt to gun down a runner?

I didn't see it...but I was listening to the highlights on XM this morning and as soon as I hear "And Pierre is up with the ball and throws to the plate" I knew the run was going to score...kind of like giving the story away as soon as they said Pierre.

It was great. It wasn't even very deep, he had to run up on the ball quite a bit, grabbed it out of the dirt and whipped it on home.

 

I'm pretty sure my 5 year old niece could have made a better throw.

As fast as he is, I think he should have just tried outrunning the guy home. I think he would have had a better chance.

Juan Pierre is just so bad at baseball. It amazes me that he even has a job in the majors, let alone a job as an everyday player getting paid $9 mil/year.

Often phrases like "I could hit better than that" get tossed around forums but no one truly means it. However, in this case, I'll wager that 99% of the members of this board can make a better throw. I'm dead serious too, that is the scary part.
