I'm trying to get everyone to call Snell "Oquendo"... the name change still annoys and perplexes me.

What name change?

he used to be Ian Oquendo and then he became Ian Snell for some reason.

It was the last name of his baby's mama. Snell is his birth-name.

Is that why? LAME. You don't change your name because of that, and you don't get to change it back. Ian Oquendo it is!

wow, if the Cubs actually pull off 2 wins in one day, it might be a good day to actually get out of bed! :)

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT BARRETT SWINGS AT THE FIRST PITCH AFTER WALKS!

Would it have a been a strike?

Probably, but I would have taken it; he was on the edge of serious destruction and his pitch count was at 90 before the first pitch... Force the Pirates hand.

Izturis. If I could fight one man, I'd fight Cesar Izturis.

That's it... in a handicapped match it will be Michael Barrett against Cesar Izturis and the Big Parrot in a fight to the death....

Marquis can't get a SS who can field the ball behind him. Izturis with the error today and the 3 error game-both Marquis games. Cedeno started behind Marquis and really struggled defensively that day. Theriot started behind him on Friday, and had the error and a couple other misplays.

Marquis is the one who needs defense at SS the most, so it's really bad that the 3 people who have played behind him have not gotten the job done in his starts.

It's gotta be embarassing to see a guy like Soriano adapt pretty well to his newer OF spots compared to a "Gold Glover" like Cesar stinking it up hideously in his natural spot.

Doumit out 3 unassisted

I think Corey led the league in 3 unassisteds in 2005.

"3 unassisted" isn't nearly as catchy a nickname as "4-3" though.

it wasn't 4-3

it was to DLee at the bag. ;)

I have to admit that after Neifi was traded, I was concerned that the Cubs might not find a proper hate replacement; but Cesar has filled that role quite capably.

Barrett by legdrop after the Parrot turns on Izturis.

I've learned a long time ago never to let the Cubs ruin my day (life).

Was comparing CPatt to Juan Pierre.

Both liked to pull the ball on the ground and get thrown out at first, but Corey pulled it just a little more.
