wow, if the Cubs actually pull off 2 wins in one day, it might be a good day to actually get out of bed! :)

I've learned a long time ago never to let the Cubs ruin my day (life).

I wish I could say that.....I really do.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT BARRETT SWINGS AT THE FIRST PITCH AFTER WALKS!

Would it have a been a strike?

Probably, but I would have taken it; he was on the edge of serious destruction and his pitch count was at 90 before the first pitch... Force the Pirates hand.

I say swing at pitches you think you can do something with whichever pitch in the at bat it is. Sometimes a first ball fast ball right over the plate is the only pitch you are going to see that you will be able to do anything with especially from a pitcher who is trying to regain his composure.

I'm trying to get everyone to call Snell "Oquendo"... the name change still annoys and perplexes me.

What name change?

he used to be Ian Oquendo and then he became Ian Snell for some reason.

It was the last name of his baby's mama. Snell is his birth-name.

That's what I thought because he isn't Latino according to someone I know...

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

Enjoy folks. I'm going to do something here I'm actually paid to do: Work.

Have a good one.

Can you take Cesar Izturis with you?

2005 did it for me. I went to about 30 Cubs games and saw it all - Latroy blowing a game by hitting a baserunner with a throw, Jon Leicester's first and only start, Todd Hollandsworth starting in LF, etc.

Let's see what Izzy can screw up now.

Well, he's gonna pitch the 8th in a non-save situation.........oh, that Izzy.

Doumit out 3 unassisted

I think Corey led the league in 3 unassisteds in 2005.

"3 unassisted" isn't nearly as catchy a nickname as "4-3" though.

it wasn't 4-3

it was to DLee at the bag. ;)

Was comparing CPatt to Juan Pierre.

Both liked to pull the ball on the ground and get thrown out at first, but Corey pulled it just a little more.

ah

One of Baker's greatest moments. Starting Hollandworthless over Murton.

I hope you're young (like college age or younger)... you'll harden with time. If you're older than me, then you're screwed.

It's understandable to be incapable of using the word "win" when describing the Cubs.
