As expected, the Cavs sweep the hopeless Wizards.

And looked spectacularly unimpressive in doing so. I said before the playoffs that they should have an easy road to the Eastern Conference finals. Now, I wouldn't be surprised to see them get bounced by New Jersey (assuming they advance). There is no reason that the supposed #2 team in the conference should only beat the #7 team in the conference playing without their top 2 players by 5, 7, 6, and 7 points. There's no excuse for that.

Dallas reminds me of a baseball team with five solid starters but no great ones -- a team built more for the regular season. Over the long haul, they're going to be right at the top, but in a shortened 7-game series you take the team with two dominate starters. (I don't mean to say Nowitzki/Howard aren't as good as other team's top two). I thought Houston would knock them out in the second round. They very well may still beat Golden State, but, even after last year, I see them more as a regular season team. (PS this has nothing to do with choking or whatnot, but everything with team construction)

Toronto holds on...barely.

Hard to see them winning game 6 in Jersey unless they start playing worlds better.
