As much as I love what Cotts did last inning, I hope Lou has someone up. He looks a bit shaky so far in the 7th.

And Miller was awful. We're incredibly fortunate to be tied. On most days and against a ton of teams we'd be down by a boatload.

Miller wasn't great. He just got lucky that the Padres didn't clobber his straight fastballs and that the wind is howling in

Is anybody else just ecstatic we aren't getting blown out at this point? When I saw Miller Vs. Maddux I feared the worst.

Miller gives up 6 hits and 4 walks and it's tied, you're darn right I'm ecstatic.

but, but a 5.40 ERA with a 2.00 WHIP is never acceptable, right GOONY?

Correct. It's an unacceptable performance by the pitcher. I'm ecstatic that they were lucky enough to still be in the game.

I thought it was a quality start by Miller! He had less then his best and battled!!!!

I didn't know any of his stuff was his good stuff. And 3 runs in 5 innings to the Padres isnt that great. Their offense isn't exactly mind-boggling.

Thought I'd stir the pot a little..

Nice route Jacque. God can we just get rid of him.

Murton/Floyd - Soriano - Pie

mmm...

Better yet, Soriano-Pie-Murton

Hope for Pie to just hit the sh!t out of the ball.

Why? That will just cause them to sit Murton.

You can't be serious.

He didn't have less than his best. That is his best. His best is bad. And he was lucky to get out of there with a performance that works out to a 5.40 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP.

EDIT - Thought so. ;)
