The Ducks showed what Thugs they are. I want to see Game 6 in St. Paul.

yeah, that's a lineup built around toughness. pretty surprised that they're dressing george parros AND brad may AND travis moen. that's odd for the playoffs. i like that lemaire isn't backing down and is dressing boogie man though.

Yeah, we got some heavy hitters and big fighters. I guess Carlyle wants to play very physical hockey through these playoffs and it's showing.

What May did was not being physical it was pure thuggery. What he did is pure cowardly. It's funny how they never tried there cheap shots while the Boogey man was on the ice..

I didn't actually see it. What did he do?

Basically he sucker punched Johnsson's (who is not a fighter).

Lemaire's quote says it all:

"Johnsson's not a fighter. If [May is] looking for someone, we've got one. His number is 24, and he's the tallest."

The Ducks also had a 3rd man in on a fight.

](*,) It's one thing to be agressive, and another to be stupid.

i thought it was funny that a team so "tough" as anaheim they had to result to thuggery. also, what is with the ducks and the 3rd man in? there was almost a 3rd man in on the burns fight as well. after the may cheapshot, two anaheim players went after one minnesota guy.

Being tough in Hockey isn't sucker punching guys in a scrum. Being tough is winning the battles in the corners, not letting the other team control in front of your net and finishing checks.

Tonight:

Rangers go for the sweep (on Comcast Hockeylive) over the Thrashers at 7 EST. Hedberg gets the start in net for the Thrashers.

Tampa Bay looks to take a commanding lead in their series against New Jersey at 7 EST.

Buffalo also is looking to take a commanding lead in their series against the Islanders at 7:30. It's on Versus.

San Jose and Nashville lock horns in the only western game of the day. This one starts at 10 and is on Versus.

Rangers complete the sweep, though I missed the third period.

Sharks win again. Total domination in the third period -- save for the one penalty they took late. 3-1 in favor of SJ going back to Nashville.

Devils won in OT, tied the series at 2.

Sabres beat New York to stretch the series lead to 3-1.

The reffing in the Canucks-Stars series is a joke. Luongo has been continously run and the refs won't do anything about it.

If the NYR and NJD advance, the NY media and general fan base is going to respond.

as will the 14 devils fans around the tri-state area!

They don't get much attendance, but there are lots of fans. People just don't like driving to the meadowlands, except for 8 Sundays a year. I can't believe their solution to this was building an arena in Newark. There are three NY teams that play multiple games a week and aren't located by any convenient form of mass transportation, and all three struggle drawing crowds.

Agreed. I love the Devils, but I just don't get to many games. Newark was not a good idea, though the artist renderings of the new stadium look pretty awesome.

watched bits and pieces of the sens/pens final game, but my attention was towards rich hill at the time. Ottawa looked very good. Pittsburgh didn't. No surprises there. Ottawa wins the series.

watched a fair amount of calgary/detroit, and though the flames controlled the play. then again, they were playing on home ice, and they always look good at home. Next two games should be interesting. As a Kings fan, I have fond memories of a series that the Wings blew back in 2001, I would love for the Flames to do the same.

minny/anaheim has been very exciting and very chippy.

nucks/stars going to OT again.

pretty awful start to the day. hopefully hockey will be more entertaining than listening to the cubs was today.

Sabres and Islanders meet up on Versus at 7 EST. Sabres going for the sweep.

Tampa Bay and New Jersey will also be playing at 7 EST. That will be streamed live by Yahoo.

And then the game I'm looking forward to, Sharks/Preds play game 5 tonight, also on Versus.

ALSO: Islanders defenseman Sean Hill has been suspended 20 games for a violation of the substance abuse policy issued by the NHL. So pretty much, he's out tonight and for 19 games to start next season. Sorry Islander fans.

Sabres eliminate the Islanders though NYI definitely didn't go down without a fight. I thought they had tied it up but Miller made the save of the playoffs to keep Buffalo ahead.

Sharks eliminate the Preds. I'm definitely on the Cheechoo Train, they're a very impressive team.

As was mentioned, the Devils beat the Lightning 3-0, Brodeur finally showed up for a game in this series ;)

mclennan smacked franzen in the stomach pretty hard. and just to show that the message playfair was trying to send didn't sink in, detroit took a goaltender interference penalty. nice.
