98.25 of my team 126 points is from the offense. :(

If you are disappointed with Harden, I'll take him off your hands.

I may be in a rebuilding year

Hey, you are a Cubs fan. Every year is a rebuilding year.

oops, didn't mean to leave brett myers out.

[expletive] brett myers.

I have both Sheets and Myers in other leagues, so what's helping me in our matchup (which I'm sure I'll still lose anyway) is hurting me in my other leagues. I would have preferred that they had good games, you beat me my a larger margin here, and I do better in my other leagues.

Although, I would like to point out to BBB that even with Rollins hitting home runs at a very non-normal rate my MIF will still outscore his this week. :)

Well, Sexson missed a few games due to postponements. Rolen missed several games due to a sore back. Uggla missed games due to postponement.

I would hope your infield outscored my infield.

Actually, I was just referring to the middle infield, since you were earlier bragging that yours was the best. ;)

But if you want to compare entire infields, I've also had Pujols, Weeks & Reyes missing time this week due to postponed games and Vic was out for the whole week due to his injured knee from the first snowstorm in Cleveland.

I was forgetting that for the moment; I was looking at the current scores. And I still don't know if my move in adding Davis was legal (Juan hasn't chimed in on that yet), so it's possible I may not get his points. It seems to me like a gray area, when the pitcher I replaced (Jennings) has been announced as definitely going on the DL but not having officially done so yet. I figured the best thing to do was add him in case it is allowed, figuring that Juan can adjust the scoring as appropriate if it isn't.

Yeah, and even if I am partial to my middle infield, they aren't going to be #1 in points each and every week. Although Jimmy Rollins appears to be trying to.

another thing about the pitcher swapping...the goal of the 7 start limit was to prevent teams from swapping around pitchers to simply out-start their opponent each week. allowing teams to move around their rosters around all over town doesn't accomplish that goal at all.

I agree, but that's apparently what they want. I dumped all of my offensive reserves and I've now got 8 starters that I intend to rotate in and out. I have 12 starts to work with this coming week. I just have to sort out which of those 12 to narrow down to just 7 starts.

I'm thinking I'll sit Ervin Santana against Boston tomorrow since he probably won't pitch anyway and he got lit up in his last start. One of my new guys is pitching against a weak offense, and should be semi effective against that team. Halladay is pitching no matter what.

It was so much easier when I could just set my line up and watch them play all week. Now I have to do scouting reports and daily roster changes to maximize my 7 starts. I used the term earlier in this thread and I'll go ahead and toss it out there again. Ridiculous.

And since we are allowed to make daily pitching changes, what is the deadline to submit changes?

i think you have to make daily changes like a half hour before the day's first game or something.

I'm sorry you feel the rules are so terrible. This was not my intent in changing the rules but its hard to go back and change now. To me, pitching changes are completely different from position players. Furthermore, I doubt you'll gain much advantage from picking up a bunch of pitchers. Most teams get 6 or 7 starts a week anyway and a start from a scrub is going to hurt you as likely as not. I am disappointed that people used this opportunity to bend the spirit of the league but that is obviously what happened.

ok, so you can rotate in pitchers from reserve but not from free agents or the minors. sorry for the confusion, its hard to catch every possible move in sweeping rules.

as for the DL, your player cannot be there unless he is on the DL. Any player put on injured not on the DL will be released from your team.

I definitely agree with that, which is what I was getting at in my post when I said I think clarifying rules is fine during the season but changes in the rules should be made during the offseason.

As far as my moves are concerned, my picking up Davis and using him today was definitely improper (since Jennings hasn't officially been placed on the DL yet, even though the team has said that he will be), so you probably need to deduct the points he put up today from my score (after the overnight adjustments are made by Sportsline). Owings is more of a gray area, since I believe your earlier comments this week implied that it was OK, but I won't question your discretion whatever you think is right. I put Jennings back on my reserve roster (until he is officially placed on the DL) and I released Davis (whom I shouldn't have picked up in the first place), so I think that should make things right.

Nevermind...timing is everything.

Harden came out of his start with shoulder soreness tonight.
